TECHNOLOGY IS THE DRIVING FORCE that is changing the media world. It always
has been: from Gutenbergís 15th century perfection of printing with moveable
type, to the 20thcentury inventions of broadcast and telecommunications, to
the 21st century developments now coming into our lives.
While media professionals donít necessarily have to be
techno-savvy, they do need to be technologically literate. Thatís what this
